Hidden in the depths of Abbeydale Brewery lurks our nano-batch barrel ageing and souring project: the Funk Dungeon.

Brewed using UK grown ingredients – Plumage Archer heritage barley and Olicana hops – the is a collaboration with the aeronauts at Ascension Cider, using rescued supermarket-rejected eating apples, pressed and blended with our first ever raw ale.

Clean, sweet and fresh, with a prominent apple character on the nose. This delicate, floral and easy drinking beer, sings of the orchard, with a gentle funk and light acidity in the finish
