Collaboration with Lewis Ryan Art. A strawberry, chocolate, smoked, cherry wood-chipped, imperial stout which has rested in French oak barrel for three years with Abbey Ale Yeast and additional strawberries. If you remember the dessert version of a few years ago, this beer is very much a changed beast, with the residual sugars mopped up to produce something hugely complex. What we have now in bottle is a potent, rich, smooth & warming beer reminiscent almost of a dry sherry, with a smoky wood character and a strawberry tang.
No longer a dessert stout, this is a beer with exquisite layers of flavour that have evolved, developed, and been allowed to marry over a three year period, culminating in a unique beer that defies categorisation.
