Description
Cask Paint is a pale session beer. Aromas of sweet fruit salad. Subtle tangerine and peach with a punchy dry hopped bitterness. Lingering aftertaste is slightly grassy and fresh. IT’S SO VIVID!
The Doctor Mortonâs series was brought into being by our previous designer Ivan, who suggested a range based around medicine-show theme names. Our owner Pat wasnât so sure at first, but certain customers of ours couldnât get enough and so he eventually bowed to commercial pressure!
The range began life as the place for our brewers to try new hops in different combinations â almost all were, and still are, what we call here âcask pale specialsâ. Theyâve always been really popular â strong sellers and a talking point for publicans and drinkers alike!
Weâre continually evolving the range and adding new beers so the good Doctor can carry on his work inspired by the travelling salesman of yesteryear. Although the look has in recent years been updated by our designer James (now including a miniature portrait of Doctor Morton himself, our brewery owner Pat), weâve kept a strong hold on the wit and eccentricities this series brings. Theyâre instantly recognisable, a distinctive range which sits happily alongside our other offerings.
*A note about Minikegs: Due to the way we fill the minikegs, and the fact they have only very light, natural carbonation from the secondary fermentation (as would happen in the pub cellar), they will pour relatively âflatâ. Itâs more like how it would be if poured direct from cask at a beer festival.Â
We recommend that Minikegs are drunk within 4 days of opening them, and kept refrigerated.
Minikegs contain 5L of beer, which is 8.79 UK Pints.
