Description
A full, 40 litre, 72 pint cask of our award winning Black IPA – Black Mass.
The original Black IPA, and by a long stretch our most decorated Award winning beer. Brewed using 6 different malts including chocolate malts, black malts and roasted barley. Generously hopped with a mix of Cascade, and Green Bullet. Flavours reminiscent of bitter chocolate, fruitcake and raisins, with beautiful aromas of dark chocolate, coffee and burnt toast. A beast of a brew!

HOW TO SERVE A 72 PINT CASK AT YOUR PRIVATE EVENT:
A cask beer is a wonderful thing – and to be in tip top form it requires some care and attention, so have a quick read of the below guidance and if you have any further questions please do contact us at the brewery.
For events, weddings, parties – whatever you think 72 pints will suit – we can provide draught beer for the pub experience wherever you are.
This is a live cask product, and requires stillaging and conditioning for a minimum of 24 hours – ideally longer. We can offer an optional service of providing the beer “bright” which eliminates that process and means the beer will be delivered or collected ready to serve immediately. This process requires a minimum of 48 hours notice.
Whether bright or not, once the cask has been vented (opened ready to drink) we recommend it is consumed within 3 days, and that the beer is stored and poured between 8 & 12°C for optimum condition.
Every cask order requires a ÂŁ72 deposit which covers the vessel hire, and is refunded in full on return of the cask and dispense equipment.
Cask purchases come with a tap, wooden spiles, and a pump clip (/badge) as standard.
You will need to provide something to keep the cask still on its side, and a mallet with which to vent the cask, and with that the beer can be poured straight from the tap. Hand pull and racking hire can be offered, but not guaranteed. Please contact us directly in order to request this and we will see what we can make possible for you!
Here is a handy youtube guide that explains what you need in order to serve the beer and make sure it tastes supreme.
