Join our Funk Dungeon brewer (and Run Leader) Jim for a fun and inclusive 5 mile (8km) jaunt from our taproom, Abbeydale Beerworks! Taking place on the second Wednesday of every month at 6.30pm. Here are the dates for our upcoming Abbeydale Brewery Run Club runs for your diary! You can also find them on the sign up page, and it’s always the second Wednesday of every month. All runs start at 6.30pm from Abbeydale Beerworks, 298 Abbeydale Road, unless otherwise specified.
Wednesday 14th October – Topo try on event! Part of OcTOPOfest in collaboration with local running shop, Accelerate. There’ll be a range of demo shoes from shoe brand Topo to try on during the run. Once we’re back, please join us for a fun quiz with a range of great prizes to be won, plus beer and pizza! As always, completely free to attend. (Hi-viz required from here please!)

We will run to the pace of the group and nobody will be left behind. As a rough guide, we expect to be back with a pint within an hour. The aim of the run is to be friendly and sociable with no pressure of time. Speedier people are welcome to give it some beans should they wish – we just ask that you loop back round to scoop up the rest of the group, in keeping with the supportive vibes we’re keen to foster. So it’s great for beginners to running who are maybe looking for the next step from a parkrun, as well as more experienced runners looking for a relaxed community run.
There’s space to leave a small bag/ jacket in the taproom (we’ll of course do our best to keep an eye on them but please don’t leave any valuables behind) and all runners will get a discount off their first drink upon our return. We’ll be out come rain or shine, so please come dressed for the weather! This includes hi-viz clothing in the darker months, from October onwards please. We’d also ask there be access to emergency contact details on your person. Other than that, all you need to bring along is yourself!
After a super response to our runs so far, we now operate a sign up system to ensure a manageable group size. This will also enable us to keep in touch with you all for bonus runs, away days and possible future merchandise info too (featuring our snazzy new logo – see below, hand drawn by our in house designer James!).
