As one of our many 30th birthday celebrations – we’ve gone and done a riff on Moonshine, the beer for which we are best known.
Moonshine: our flagship pale ale and our most famous beer! Abbeydale Moonshine continues to stand the test of time and we don’t mind sharing that this beer has been called a Sheffield icon. Not only was it our first ever brew, it has remained our biggest seller for all of its (and our) 30 year history. Moonshine was initially inspired by two things. The type of beers our founder and original brewer Pat liked to drink, along with the hop-forward American beers which were just reaching our shores in the mid 90s – but at a slightly more sessionable ABV.
Fast forward to 2026, we’ve taken Moonshine’s classic combination of willamette, citrus and centennial and added new Australian Luna hops for a boost of extra citrus, stone fruit and tasty tropical notes.
Still beautifully balanced with a delicious subtle bitterness, and shining as brightly as it was in 1996. Luna hops bring additional mango, passionfruit, blackberry, blackcurrant, orange, and grapefruit. It is a third generation of the American hop Liberty mixed with high alpha Australian lineage.

DELIVERY INFO
All orders are packaged within 24 hours Monday to Friday, and are delivered in between 1 and 4 days. Please be aware that we cannot offer weekend delivery, and orders made after 12pm on Thursday will be sent the following Monday in order to avoid them spending multiple days in transit.
