Q: Can I buy some of your beer for a party?

A: Yes you can (in Sheffield anyway), but not from us. Under the new licensing legislation we do not have a licence to supply the public and our premises are not really suitable for dealing with the public at present so we haven't applied. Thus we can only supply the licenced trade.

However we do have a very good customer locally who specialises in supplying the public - in quantities from a few pints to many gallons. We suggest you talk to Dave at Archer Road Beer Stop, a real ale Off Licence- telephone 0114 255 1356. He's very helpful and will advise on dispensing the beer too.

Q: Do you do tours for small / medium / large groups?

A: No, afraid not. Our brewery is in an industrial unit, not the idyllic dale with an Abbey (though that does exist only a mile or so away). As such we are not really geared up for visitors. Also, as you will know if you have browsed this website, we are currently a building site as well as a brewery so it's not a good time for visitors. We do have a pub, though, which always has four of our beers on and often our seasonal special as well as five guest beers from other microbreweries and you are very welcome there. Click here for more information about the pub.

Q: Can I have some of your beer mats, bottle labels, pumpclips etc.

A: Beer mats can be nicked from your local pub (we will give them some more for free) - if you ask the proprietors they usually don't mind you taking them. We don't do bottles so no bottle labels. Pumpclips are more difficult, they cost a significant amount to produce and we need them for pumpclips. Your local landlord might part with one and get another from us. And we have recently seen some for sale on eBay!

On the other hand, just about all of our artwork is on this site, so feel free to download and print your own for your collection. Please note that we do retain copyright, so if you wish to publish our images, you need to get our permission. If it's for a bona fide beer-related publication or website, we generally don't have a problem. Contact us to discuss.

Q: Does your beer come in bottles?

A: No. Reasons? How long have you got? At the moment we can sell all we produce in more profitable casks. We do keep looking at bottling though, and maybe one day...

Q: Where can I get your beer?

A: Our Pub. The Rising Sun at Nether Green which always has on four of our beers plus another five guest ales from microbrewers across the country. Click here to go to their website.

In Sheffield, lots of places - just get out there. Or alternatively in the Pubs section of the website we have listed a few of the outlets locally which keep our beer on regularly, though even this can change. And of course there is our pub.

Beyond that, we supply hundreds of outlets across the country, delivering up to a hundred miles from Sheffield. But as it is free trade many of them will only stock our beer infrequently. We also supply to wholesalers who then take our beer even further afield so that we are sometimes surprised ourselves at where the beer turns up. If you're desperate to know who we supply in your area, drop us an email with a postcode and we'll tell you who we supply directly in that area. We can't answer for wholesalers of course.
